This year the greatly anticipated annual Quintessentially Atelier was held at The Dorchester on Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd April 2016 and Corinthia London were honoured to be in attendance. The highly exclusive showcase invites carefully selected couples to experience Quintessentially’s exceptional service first hand, meet world-class planners and be introduced to some of the industry’s finest suppliers.

Accompanied by blogger, Nathan Rollinson, and photographer, Victoria Metaxas, both ready to snap lots of fabulous photos, we made our way through The Ballroom entrance and into what can only be described as wedding heaven!

Besides being great to see some of our Corinthia London preferred suppliers it was an excellent opportunity to discover some new contacts that will be perfect for our future Corinthia Couples as well as keep an eye on the latest trend.

Here are some of our favourite parts of our journey through this fabulously luxurious atelier:

The stunning floral garden designed by Mary Jane Vaughan and her team.  Their display was absolutely breath-taking with a rose and lantern-lined pathway to a table-scale that any couple would dream of having at their wedding.  The equipment from Academy Furniture Hire could only complement what was already a vision of floral perfection.

After a quick pit-stop at the bar for a glass of delicious rosé Prosecco, we moved through and were met by an array of incredible cakes from Peboryon.  We were blown away by their beautiful designs, especially the levitating cake, and of course we had to pause and sample a couple of slices!

Eight Ray Music provided delightful entertainment to accompany us as we made our way around the event spaces – acoustic trios, jazz bands… Each group perfectly positioned to suit the style of that particular room.

Ruth Kaye showcased her wonderful stationery ranges, which we were lucky enough to glimpse before the day as she had produced the invitations for the event.

And just for the bride, La Perla showcased a stunning bridal lingerie collection that had us swooning.  And then on to one of our personal favourites, Christian Louboutin shoes, aside from their beautiful red soles being enough to draw anyone in, the display was set in front of a flower wall made up of luscious roses in a variety of warm and romantic colours. It would have been rude not to try any on!

After a peak at the elegant Sassi Holford dress designs, it was time to pause and admire the works of art from Ladurée – a macaron tower, a tiered cake and then, even better, an ice cream cart where we could taste the delicious offerings!

With a sugar fix to give us a renewed energy it then time to step into the secret garden, with a real grass carpet  from Wow Grass (perfect to bring the outdoors in), where we found a range of sensational suppliers including The Events Mill, Jeeves of Belgravia, and Needle & Thread.  The chic, innovative yet affordable designs from Needle & Thread attracted the crowds and caused quite a stir.  The brand has expertly managed to create not only the perfect bridal range for the bride looking for a unique and alternative style, but also a selection of bridesmaid dresses suitable for all styles of weddings.

We bumped into Bubblegum Balloons, who are always a complete and utter delight to work with and have the most incredible designs and original balloons before stopping off to see our Corinthia London regulars Cameo Photography, who never fail to capture the best moments of any event or wedding.

And of course the Atelier didn’t forget something for the men. Scabal were showing off their fine tailoring and showcasing their services to make buying suits a stress-free and impeccable experience.

Then it was on to Harrods to look at their bridal and gift list range , and did you know Corinthia London is the only hotel in the world to have a Harrods Boutique!

Around the Atelier, besides additional stands from companies including Farley, Eliza Jane Howell and Bardou, there was an industry reunion and opportunity to catch up with lots of friendly faces. The time spent on executing the creative ideas of these industry professionals can only be admired as no one can deny the beauty of the displays.  This aesthetic pleasure, combined with a warm welcome, excellent company, and the height of wedding luxury meant a fabulous time at the 2016 Quintessentially Atelier was had by all. After an afternoon at the Atelier we were feeling truly inspired and look forward to working with and recommending these esteemed suppliers past and present in the future.

With love from Corinthia London,
