FERRAN & YAMAL SHINE AS PEDRI GETS A REST IN SPAIN WIN

Spain beat Switzerland 4-1 on Sunday in the Nations League in an action-packed game in Geneva.

Luis de la Fuente again named Lamine Yamal in his starting XI and saw the Barcelona teen tee up Joselu for the opening goal after just four minutes.

Yamal easily beat his man down the right and then dinked the ball in for Joselu to head home and make it 1-0.

The assist continues Yamal’s incredible run of form for club and country, as shown by Opta.

Yamal was involved again as Fabian Ruiz made it 2-0 after 13 minutes to put La Roja in charge. However, Spain were hit with a blow on 20 minutes when Robin Le Normand was sent off, causing De la Fuente to switch things around.

Off came Pedri, much to the relief surely of many at Barcelona, as the Spain boss sent on Dani Vivian in his place.

Switzerland then pulled one back right before half-time. Zeki Amdouni headed home from a corner to halve the deficit going into the break.

Spain made a change at half-time, with Ferran Torres replacing Yamal and allowing his Barca team-mate to finally enjoy a breather.

Torres went on to play a key role in sealing the win, sending Ruiz through to make it 3-1 and then scoring Spain’s fourth of the night. The Shark was sent clean through and showed great composure to slot home on a good night for the Barca boys.
