In various sectors of the wedding industry, August is often a quieter time thus allowing a little bit of downtime for many. Here at Corinthia Hotel London, we thought this was the perfect opportunity to invite some of our favourite wedding planners, bloggers, and agents for a bountiful breakfast in our breathtaking Ballroom, the perfect place to host the wedding of your dreams…
The Little Details
The Ballroom was dressed in a creative and elegant way with stunning furniture and décor provided by Great Hire. The space was transformed with two long white tables, a reception area with poseur tables and bar, and luxurious lounging areas. The neutral colour scheme did not detract from the unique décor of The Ballroom and added to the elegance and opulence of the room.
Nobody quite knows our Ballroom like our in-house florists, Javier and Tony at By Appointment Only Design, who provided stunning floral displays for the event including roses, hydrangeas, mint, eucalyptus, and peonies, the pretty pastel shades perfectly complementing the light and bright occasion.
For the classic finishing touches, there was only one place to look: Eagle Eyed Bride. Having created a unique Corinthia-inspired range, we have been looking forward to seeing their products in situ. The elegant hummingbird name cards were exactly what the table needed to add height and interest to the place settings. These pretty little cards that slot onto the wine glass are the perfect delicate touch to finish off the look.
Understandably we did not want our lovely guests to leave empty-handed and therefore, as well as the masterpiece wedding cake on display, Cakes by Krishanthi provided the most incredible cupcake favours that we have seen here at Corinthia London! Delicate and moist lemon cake with a light whipped frosting, topped off with a salted caramel macaron and sugar work…Wow! The intricate sugar flower work perfectly complemented the floral arrangements and the lovely boxes wrapped in ribbon sat enticingly at each place setting.
At 10am, once Harold from Cameo Photography had finished capturing the set-up, our guests, a wonderful mixture of Wedding Planners, Bloggers, Magazine Editors, Instagrammers and Agents, began pouring through the doors. With a glass of Bucks Fizz in hand, guests enjoyed catching up with connections and introductions to new faces whilst mingling in our reception area of The Ballroom, and meeting key members of the Corinthia Hotel London team.
After a short speech from our new General Manager, Thomas M. Fischer, all were seated to enjoy a delicious breakfast of Smoked Salmon and Scrambled Eggs on Brioche. As always both the presentation and taste were bound to impress and they certainly didn’t disappoint!
After a breakfast full of chatter and laughter and before disappearing back to their offices, the guests were invited for a tour of the hotel to see the stunning spaces and even a sneak-peek of a few of our prestigious Penthouses. Jumping at the chance to explore, our guests were shown The Courtroom set with ivory and grey Chandelle chairs and The Northall Restaurant and Bar, before a trip up to the seventh floor. The Hamilton Penthouse was sure not to disappoint with soft creams and whites, the understated glamour and feminine details making it the ideal choice for a bride. Next was a tour of the Musician’s Penthouse which left our guests struggling to make up their minds whether the incredible Musician’s patio overlooking the River Thames and the London Eye was superior to the Hamilton’s hot tub on the terrace!
Tour over and back down to The Lobby Lounge and reality, our guests were already busy Instagramming and Tweeting before they had even left the building! We look forward to welcoming them all back very soon. Don’t forget to like and follow us on Instagram at withlovefromcorinthia for more inspiration and ideas.
