Hands up all those who came to visit us last Sunday for our Corinthia Wedding Open Day!
We were so lucky to have an exclusive guest list of brides and grooms to be and event planners through the door, ready to view Corinthia London and begin planning beautiful weddings. The main aim of the day was to invite people to see the spaces set up for a wedding, as it can often be difficult to visualise from an empty space with when there are no points of reference. With this is mind we wanted to keep it simple and show off the delicate yet still striking nature of The Ballroom and other wedding spaces available at Corinthia London.
In The Ballroom we kept our in-house stage and dance floor, which we offer to all couples on a complimentary basis, we added a long top table in the window and 6-foot round tables in the centre of the room.
We opted for the stunning white Chandelle Chairs from Great Hire to sit at the white-clothed tables, all complemented with beautiful floral displays from our in-house florists, By Appointment Only Design.
In the centre of the dance floor we were also lucky enough to have a feature wedding cake, supplied by Cakes By Krishanthi. Her stunning design showed a white base with delicate sugar flowers trailing down the tiers – her palate of whites, purples, and soft greys going perfectly complementing our beautiful Ballroom.
Set up on the stylish white classic Great Hire bar, ready for couples to view, we had stationery samples from Eagle Eyed Bride. Not only are EEB wonderful to work with and provide excellent products, they have also created a bespoke ‘Corinthia’ Set of stationery, styled with our beautiful chandelier in mind. Setting up a stationery station was ideal for those couples who hadn’t yet got round to sending out their save the dates and wedding invitations. EEB also offer options of place cards, menus, and seating plans, a selection of which could be seen on the day for couples to take inspiration from.
In prime position, on entering The Ballroom, we used the wonderfully stylish rented tableware from Duchess and Butler, displayed on two tables to give our style savvy couples inspiration when designing their day. We showed off a variety of charger plates, glassware, and cutlery – all of which were brought to life in the setting of The Ballroom, surrounded by beautiful fresh florals. Even more exciting at the Wedding Day, our With Love From Corinthia friend Nathan Rollinson from The Rollinson London, came and showed how the Duchess and Butler pieces can be styled in imaginative and tasteful ways to enhance the aesthetic of your wedding. Pink charger plates, gold cutlery, pink petals…..the list goes on!
Not only did we feature The Ballroom at the wedding open day, but we also set up both The Courtroom and the Nelson Room so that our couples could get a feel for where they could host their wedding ceremonies.
The Courtroom, set on a curve, is the perfect space for a ceremony with its mirrored wall along one side and natural light down the other – it is light, airy and is licensed for up to 150 guests. The Nelson, for the more intimate wedding, can comfortably fit 34 guests and, again, is licensed for ceremonies with Westminster Council.
It is always important to us here at Corinthia London to find a solution for everyone, therefore we wanted to make sure our couples were being made aware of all of their options to suit their wedding sizes.
Whether craving an intimate ceremony or a grand reception, Corinthia London can craft the perfect wedding for you with our range of spaces, dedicated wedding planner and list of esteemed suppliers. From flowers and transport, to cakes and entertainment, we can plan everything, every step of the way.
