OLMO SHOWS HIS LOVE FOR BARCA AFTER WILLIAMS SNUBS MOVE

Barcelona star Dani Olmo has shown his love for the club just hours after it was announced that Nico Williams had renewed his contract with Athletic Club.

Williams turned down a move to Barca last summer, which meant the Catalans went for Olmo instead, and has done the same thing again this year.

Olmo has now posted an update on social media which may well be in response to the news.

The Spain star is shown celebrating in a Barcelona shirt, with his hand on his heart and a couple of blaugrana emojis thrown in for good measure.

Olmo had previously spoken about the possibility of Williams arriving this summer and had made it clear he would welcome the forward to the club.

However, that doesn’t look like happening now, with Barca expected to move for Marcus Rashford or Luis Diaz instead.

As for Olmo, he’s being tipped for a more prominent role in the coming campaign, with Hansi Flick expected to use him in a false 9 role more often.
